ZZZzzzzzzzzz

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. *Sigh*

It's one of my favorite times of the year the time when Frank has to take any vacation time he has before April when they turn into a zillion holiday molecules. So I have him with me the entire week.

And what exotic location shall we frequent with this precious time you may ask?? what about Mexico, Cuba , Bali, Provence or Florence?? How about the inside of my eyelids.

Due to our poorness, yes we just bought a new HD TV (sorry Dad I couldn't help it) only because our ten-year-old one was due to burst into flames at any given moment, we shall rest ici. Ahhh yes, let's stay in the swirling snowdrifts and arctic blasts of air we call home. The media is calling the latest CHAIN of storms "clippers". They blow in, dump 5-10 cm of the fluffy stuff on our heads and blow out again. Where? Maybe mexico. Each time I commence the chanting that keeps me sane -" That's it for the season, spring WILL come". goddammit. The next one is due to hit on friday.

So Frank's home and actually asked me, with no nagging on my part, for a list of things that he could do around the house on his time off. ack, have I just fell off the edge into bizarro world? No, seriously. What a guy! ... and it's actually getting done. Again, what a guy!

I would like to redecorate the kids rooms but until we know if Baby X will be pink or blue that will have to wait. I have my ultrasound at the end of the month and am so excited! Yeah technology! I'm going to a special clinic that offers the 3-D pics, so you actually see sa picture of the baby not just the grainy gray and black one we got last time. ( which I must say I was equally excited to see...) I can't wait.

Since Frank's been home I think I may have morphed into a slug. I think that the chicken pox marathon must have caught up with me. All I want to do , correction, all I FEEL like doing is snoozing. (Although Mrs. Brightside mentions, one of my recent dreams was that I was married to Jude Law, not too shabby - but it was interuppted by Philippe at 6:30 Rrrrrrrr) In my bed, on the couch, at the supper table, driving... it's gotten so bad I fear I might miss tv night. (Joey/Will & Grace/CSI/ER) Don't call me on thursday night because I will not answer. Pathetic, but true. Welcome to suburbia.

Alas, I must go now and .... sleep.

SEND CALOMINE LOTION! Posted by Hello

The POX Duo Posted by Hello

A Name Change May be in Order ....

Well, I propose the new name to be "The Chicken Pox Chronicles". Yes folks, we've been blessed with two horrible cases of "the Pox" in the last three weeks. I'm glad that they got it now while they are young but this is ridiculous! *see attached photos. My children wouldn't be the ones to contract anything at a mild rate... Nope. We get the perfect storm tsunami case, both times! I feel so bad! Thay look sooooo awful. I've realised that I pat Kate's and Philippe's heads a lot, and now there's a crunchy bumpiness that, honestly despite a mother's love, causes me to shudder and recoil a bit....

Kate wasn't too bad to deal with because she can be reasoned with on some levels whereas in Philippe the Terrible's case... He is THE most pig-headed, stubborn, melodramatic kid sometimes- so this has been utter hell trying to convince him to take benadryl every 4-6 hrs let alone tolerate the screaming session that is the dreaded calomine lotion application.

AARRGGHH!

I need a drink. (not one laced with benadryl that "tastes funny" either!)

.... BUTT I can't even relish myself that simple escape cause to add to the mayhem (in more ways than one) I'm in the family way once again - 15 wks so far and counting and counting and counting.... No more morning sickness at least just random gagging at unexpected times. It's all good though - what does the wise Dolly Parton say " You have to suffer the rain to get the rainbow" *sigh*

So! I'm Back for all those who have been pining in my blogging absence! Take to the streets and rejoice! hee hee.

Until our next encounter!
